TUFTS SAT Score

Tufts University is a highly selective private research university in Medford and Somerville, Massachusetts. The university is known for its vital programs in engineering, international relations, and the arts and sciences.

In the fall of 2022, the TUFTS acceptance rate was 13.2%. This means that out of all the applicants who applied, only 13.2% were admitted. This makes Tufts a highly competitive university and admissions process.

Tufts' admissions procedure is very stringent. It receives many applications each year due to its high demand. Tufts has a 16% acceptance rate as a result. However, Tufts set a milestone for the Class of 2026. The lowest ever recorded acceptance rate for Tufts' early decision program was merely 9% of applicants. Admission has become more difficult as a result. To attend Tufts University, you must get a stellar GPA and SAT/ACT scores.

  1. Application: Submit the Common Application or Coalition Application online, along with a $75 application fee or waiver request.

  1. High school transcripts: Submit official transcripts from all high schools attended.

  1. Essay: Submit a personal essay as part of the Common Application or Coalition Application.

  1. Teacher Evaluation: Submit at least one teacher evaluation from someone who has taught you a core academic subject.

  1. Counselor Recommendation: Submit a counselor recommendation form as part of the Common Application or Coalition Application.

  1. Interview: Tufts offers optional on-campus or virtual interviews to applicants.

A good GPA and SAT/ACT score are required for admission to this extremely selective school. If you do not fulfil their GPA and SAT/ACT criteria, you will very certainly be denied.

You have the best chance of admission if you aim for the 75th percentile on the Tufts SAT or a 34 on the ACT. A minimum GPA of 3.91 is also necessary. If your GPA is lower, you must make up the difference with a higher SAT/ACT score.

In recent years, Tufts has become increasingly competitive, with a growing number of applicants each year. Despite this, the university remains committed to admitting a diverse and talented group of students from various backgrounds and experiences.

The admissions committee carefully reviews each application to ensure that the university is accepting students who have the potential to contribute positively to the Tufts community.

Overall, getting into Tufts is a challenging process, but the university provides a rewarding experience for those who are accepted. Tufts is a great place to pursue higher education with its strong academic programs, dedicated faculty, and vibrant campus culture.
