UCLA Admission Requirements

• Students must have a 3.4 GPA or higher.
• Higher the GPA, the lesser the competition.
• SAT/ACT scores are considered, but they have little relevance.
• English language test scores – IELTS (Min 7.0), Duolingo (Min 120), or TOEFL (Min 100) is advised.

It is also important to note that meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. UCLA is a highly selective school, and admissions decisions are based on a holistic review of all submitted materials.

The acceptance rate for 2021 was 14.3%. 15,028 students got accepted out of 139,490 students who applied. UCLA's acceptance for 2020 was 16.3%. The number of candidates who applied was 108,877, and those who got accepted were 6,387.

UCLA Tuition and Financial Aids  

For 2021 the UCLA in-state tuition was $13,249 for California residents and $13,029 for graduate school tuition. However, out-of-state tuition was $43,003, while graduate school tuition was $28,131. 

So, there is an annual tuition difference of $22,878 between in state and out-of-state tuition for UCLA students. In addition, the annual fee for the UCLA room and on-campus board costs $14453, and the UCLA room and board off-campus costs $$10446.    

UCLA offers scholarships and grants to students who are in need. They need to provide supporting documents to prove their need for financial aid. Student loans are available for academic purposes, which they can borrow to attend UCLA and repay monthly after graduation.
